To My Los Angeles Community:

My heart is with you as you navigate the aftermath of this devastating firestorm. With roots in this city, this feels deeply personal to me. I know how heavy this moment must feel—the uncertainty, the loss, the fear—but I also know the strength and heart of this city.

You’ve seen hard times before, and each time, you’ve risen, together. This is no different. Right now, it’s about taking one small step at a time, holding onto hope, and leaning into each other for strength.

If you’re struggling, know this:

You’re not alone. Whether it’s grief, overwhelm, or simply not knowing the next step, it’s okay to feel what you feel. Take a deep breath and remember—you are resilient.

If you can help, here’s how:

 • Check in on neighbors and loved ones, especially the elderly or those living alone. A call or text can go a long way.

 • Give what you can—clothes, food, resources, or donations to trusted local organizations making a direct impact.

 • Be patient with yourself and others. Healing, rebuilding, and finding normalcy takes time.

Please remember that fires may leave scars, but they also make way for new beginnings. It’s hard to see now, but renewal is possible. You’ll rebuild—together—and carry the stories of strength, love, and courage forward.

I’m here with you, and for you. Let’s take it one day, one moment, one step at a time. My inbox is always open if you are in need of support.

With love,

Winona
