Chocolate Orange Almond Flour Brownies

INGREDIENTS
• 2 cups almond flour
• 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/3 teaspoon sea salt
• 1/2 cup maple syrup
• 1/3 cup melted virgin coconut oil
• 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
• Zest of 1 orange
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
• 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
METHOD
1. Heat the oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square pan.
2. Whisk almond flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
3. Whisk maple syrup, coconut oil, applesauce, orange zest, and vanilla.
4. Fold wet into dry with chocolate chips. Spread in the pan and add almonds.
5. Bake 24 to 29 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
